David was ignoring me watching tv of course... I was tatting but wanted to give my eyes a little break and I just started doodling... I used to draw alot and then I had kids LOL Anyways I drew these 2 ladies free hand

They are drawn on a post it note lol

I see some ATC's coming about I also used to make them...

Here I brushed it in my paint program

12-29-09 The final Tatting Tea Tuesday of 2009

I was up at 4 as usual and decided I wanted to finish Lady Pink today for Tatting Tea Tuesday
I did my chores early this morning got just about all them done and decided to sit down for Tatting Tea Tuesday, Ned would have nothing of it unless he is included in it so here I sit in my tatting chair with Ned sleeping at my feet.

Pre tatting tea tuesday you can see ned there being rather impatient

he is on the chair now saying MOMMY GET COMFY SO I CAN GET COMFY ON YOU

And we are down for the count LOL

I am now off to tat I am drinking my coffee right now but I have some special tea I bought myself to try today

Back to tatting the Ladies

Here is the progress of lady #10 Lady Pink she is called in honor of all the women I know who were affected by Breast Cancer... Charlotte, Tracy, Peg, Mildred

Not sure how many of the others I have shown you but here are Ladies 1 - 9

Since Christmas is over I can show and tell

I made these for my mom

(sadly the only tatting gift given out this year)
My icicle pattern made with 8 different beads and there is one made slightly different as well

The kids made these for my mom

She loves Cardinals the house on the left Nate painted and the house on the right Shannan painted I bought the bird houses at the Dollar Tree (where everything is a dollar) I so love that store I always find the neatest things and those houses were a wonderful find I LOVE THEM I of course bought 4 I needed 2 as well lol

Our Christmas

Was wonderful... Christmas eve we went to my parents house for a few hours then I took the kids to look at lights it was nice. Came home to hubby and just cuddled together while the kids played we left them stay up until 10.
They woke up to Santa's humor. hee hee

yep they both got little bags of coal (it was only chocolate candy)

Santa decided to hide all the gifts on mommy's tatting chair because we had some 'issues' last year with christmas and my sons impulsiveness.

Santa was pretty good to them this year!

Ned got some gifts as well a dog and some toys I didnt get any pictures of him opening it up but it was so comical here he is post present opening he was just a LITTLE excited

Still excited his expression says "I LOVE SANTA" dont you think?

Again post present opening he gave me his snowman squeaker and decided that my socks that I got from Santa were to be his... Silly dog

And after everything was cleaned up poor Ned was so exhausted he needed to nap with Irma

My Christmas this year was great it felt different than usual I dont know why but it just did

I had a wonderful 4 day weekend with my husband too. The kids are happy and healthy

What more could I ask for. well other than more tatting books and thread and stuff LOL ;)

Grrrrrr!

I am a bit angry OK not a bit but ALOT...
See I had a person order a pdf file from my etsy shop. I wasnt online at the time of this placed order until the next day. I was reported for NON DELIVERY. OK this had me a bit worried I didnt want trouble. They got rather snippy with me saying they had never had trouble before and apparently this sale wasnt going to happen and for me to keep the money and they wouldnt give me a positive feed back ( this was all done in the same day) sorry I do have a life :(... Anyways all got straightened out and they ended up with a FREE pattern in the process. They were to take down the Non Delivery note and NEVER DID well now etsy de-activated my whole shop since last week... I have had 5 customers wanting to buy thread and stuff and they cant, this really stinks. I am so mad and upset about this... Why do people need to be so impatient my goodness it was within the SAME DAY they ordered and then reported for non delivery.

Ok I vented.

WOW tomorrow is Christmas Eve

OHHH MY GOSH!! Its here! I have all the "other" gifts taken care of, Cookies for Santa, I still have something to tat for my sister I dont know what yet, I still need to wrap everything for my family, Gotta re-figure my schedule on what I am doing on what day. Tomorrow is the BIG cooking day for me I cant wait I LOVE IT!! We are going to my parents tomorrow night for awhile then I think I will take the kids to look at Christmas Lights. The kids have half a day today and when they get home we gotta run to Ebensburg for my sons appointment. Then home, ahhhhh to be home is wonderful, but I need to vacuum and do some final cleaning up for Santa he dosent like looking at a messy house now does he after all I want him to bring me something LOL

Last night I finished up teacher gifts. Coffee mugs with chocolate YUM the male teachers didnt get a doily I didnt have time to make some manly colored ones ...

 and my daughter wanted somethng for her friends so I decided to make these... Its just the flower design with beads I came up with yesterday she loved it but I wasnt about to do the tiny one because doing those tiny seed beads with the needle threader was a pain in the butt LOL So I used size 10 thread and made some knitty cord for the necklaces. The red and white beaded one is Shannans I was up until 2:30 am doing these and the alarm went off at 4 so when hubby went to work I took me an hour and a half nap, I feel like I could use another nap LOL

Allright I am off to fill my car with gas and get some last minute groceries.

If I dont make it back in here MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I wanted to know how to do the split chain like this with the shuttle

Jane drew me a picture, and said how she thought to do it

It took me SEVERAL tries and I got it FINALLY

Now I need some major improvement see... And I am even using my lacy clay shuttle :)

Tatting Tea Tuesday December 22,2009

WOW its almost Christmas

Today for Tatting Tea Tuesday I finished up this design I cant believe I did the whole thing from design to final piece with the shuttle (arent you all so proud LOL) As you can see my shuttle tatting is really tight which is weird I wish I could be more comfortable with it and not have it as tight ohhh well with time!!

I am currently using beads from an old necklace of my grandmas
She liked to speak in polish at times and german I loved it I can still hear some of the funny things she used to say ♥
Anyways I was attempting a rememberance snowflake but I kept hitting snags but I think I may be on track

I only have 1 done so far. I used my needle I did the split chain but I am asking my tatting friends who dont mind taking a bit time out of their busy schedule to help another tatter. I am asking if you know of a way to make the split chain like in the picture with the shuttle. I asked someone else for help but they refused to even look at any of my tatting.

So if anyone knows of a way perhaps you could explain or point me in the direction of a tutorial on how?? Like I said I mostly needle tat and shuttle when I feel like I know quite a bit with the shuttle but some things I just dont get. I can do a normal split chain with the shuttle but cant seem to figure if this can be done... I will continue to mess around and see if I can figure anything out.

Snow Storm Today

We got a nice storm today with 6 - 10 inches possible YAY!! FINALLY a white Christmas its been awhile since we have had one of those...
We took the kids to my parents for the night and the roads are so bad.

My Friends you are the BEST-EST LOL

First let me explain a bit. Things sometimes get said, to hurt of put down another person and sometimes not intentionally. I am not sure of the real intention of this I mean its not meant only at me but I do have a part in it. I am what this person is talking about along with alot of others. This year was the 1st time I had this said to me and since then it gets rubbed in ALOT. After awhile it starts to sting and before you know you got a nasty sore. I am not going into detail but I have had some of the nicest emails come to me from my WONDERFUL TATTING FRIENDS. You have brought me out of my sore mood over this. I can imagine some of you are like WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT CRAZY LADY TALKING ABOUT?? and others know what I am talking about

So Not My Day ... again & Happy Birthday to my MOM!!!!!!!!!!

I decided I would surprise my mom for her birthday. I didnt mention I was going to go to her house. I rushed around this morning so I could get there by 10 doors locked everything :( BOO HOO
I bought mom a little cake with Santa on it (SHE LOVES CHRISTMAS) Brother and I were texting back and forth at 4:30 am he just got off work and I was up LOL but that isnt gonna happen either :( I called Dads cell phone and they went to Wal Mart. Ohhh well my fault for not telling mom I was coming over. I left her gifts on the door and left with a bit of a sad feeling not sure why. I am a bit moody today could be that. I seriously think I am getting hot flashes too I was thinking blood pressure at 1st but I did a bit of research last night and sure enough I found 4 things that said the same thing. I am only 33 I didnt think that would happen for years but I read when you have procedures that stop "the monthy friend" it can happen Its been 4 years since my endometrial ablasion so COULD BE?? I hate it the only reason I am telling you now is my face is red I can feel it and hot UGH!!
Anyways got off track there My moms doily turned out so pretty I LOVED IT
She knew she was getting it just not for her birthday ;) She wanted red green and white well I had very little dark christmas green and bright red but I did find a frosty green that looked pretty and the red just didnt go that well with it so I found a burgandy color which looked PRETTY!!! Same doily 1 on green background one on a prited white back. I hope she loves it!! I know she will its the Verna Ann doily made for my Grandma (her mom)
