You can use my dainty heart pattern - makes a cute bookmark and could raise a few bucks for the cause!

Hey Heather, just to let you know, the designer of the motif I made specifically says, "You may use the patterns to create pieces to sell or give away" so that one should be OK. I can try to find out about the heart and the bookmark.

Honestly I don't think anyone can prevent you from selling something made from their pattern. The Copyright law only covers the printed version of the pattern in whatever format it was copyrighted. When people state that you cannot sell something from a pattern they've done, it's really a preference, you can legally do whatever you wish with something you've made. If you choose to respect a person's wishes than that's up to you. So I wouldn't worry about it so much :-) You just keep going doing what you are doing. Way to go helping out!

That's just my two cents for the day

Hi Heather, Krystle is right, the only thing a copyright covers is the pattern itself on the paper.
Whatever you make from that pattern becomes yours, it of course would be polit to ask permission, but you don't really need to.

are you going to put the doily I made up for sale?
