Tatting Tea Tuesday January 5, 2010 PART 2

Well after my rant and I calmed down and had some chicken rice soup. I was good to go I guess I got my pressure cooker going with a yummy roast and left it cook while I finished this pretty thing...
I wanted to do 2 but time didnt permit me to do so today. I used size 50 thread and size 15/0 hex seed beads, I have recently fallen in love with the look of the hex beads I seen them somewhere but I dare not say, some of you know why. Those beads are a major PITA(pain in the a--) to work with they are sooooooo tiny I have no needles small enough around here to be able to thread them on the thread, that made no sense but I dont care lol so 1 by 1 I placed the beads on the thread until the end I got an idea I have some super thin wire and I made a faux needle, I didnt take a picture because I just didnt think to until now. so I have a bit of an easier way to thread them BUT still they are just sooo super tiny but BEAUTIFUL!!

I had me a nice cup of Peach Mango Iced Tea it was very good and helped put me in a better mood as well

Your latest tattings (with the 15/0 hex beads) are very beautiful. I can see why you fell in love.

Shrug off the naysayers as best you can and keep moving forward.

Thanks for joining in the TTT fun. I enjoy reading your posts and can't wait to see what you will be working on next!

The button you made is darling! You latest tatted pieces are lovely! :)

I wonder if you can get yourself a beading needle they are super skinny. I like your resourceful idea, too.

Heather, send me an email! I'd love to know more about where you saw the beads and the why's and wherefore's of why you dare not say...LOL! I think I have an idea who it is, but I dare not say, LOL! Send me an email, tatting sister! Tatster! We're tatsters! LOL!

Ok Tatster I sent you an email. I plan on getting some beading needles next time I put in an Oriental Trading order I meant to last week when I ordered things but forgot.

I bought some hex beads last fall and also some other shapes but have not had time to do anything with them.

Yeah, as others recommended, use the beading needles. The ones with the collapsible eyes are great and you get several in a package. Makes stringing them a breeze! well...almost a breeze..
