custom thread order

Here is the custom thread order i had spoke of...
Totusmel had said awhile back that no one dyes much solids atleast not what she was looking for so I took it upon myself to dye her some samples and she loved them and now she is ordering her 2nd batch and a new color was added to the mix. Her orders are for whole skeins of thread, size 10 . First before the pictures I will tell you about the colors
We have deep purple its dark and so pretty
then there was a mistake that was a bit lighter and spotty she liked it as well
Then a dark grey which is so pretty also
Then she requested turquoise, I had done some turquoise before so I mixed it the same way but for some reason I got emerald green, no biggie just get more dyes and do it again so I waited for my mail to come, it ended up being a few days later than planned due to our wonderful weather we had. Well it was still too green, GRRRRR! good thing I used my head and dyed samples. so finally after a few days of messing around I FINALLY got it to where I wanted it. WOW!

Tatting Tea Tuesday January 26, 2010

Today I finished the mystery from last tatting tea tuesday

Now do you really think I would show you the whole thing lol Ohhhhhhhhhh the Mystery

I started on the 3rd day of December snowflake from Lene Bjorn in one of my new HDT's I colorized it so you wouldnt see it yet lol

And of course Miss Diva (the boss) took the top of my chair lol

Tatter Meeting

Got to meet Debbie today! It was awesome-ly wonderful!! She is a super nice lady and we have so much in common its weird and nice :)
We met this morning at the library really didnt get alot of tatting done mostly chattering instead I loved it!! I cant wait until our next meet up maybe we can tat more and talk less, or maybe not HA HA!!!
Its so nice to have a tatter in my area I love it!!!

Tatting Tea Tuesday January 19, 2010

Well not alot of tatting was done today, I was working on my book a little :)

I got a new little buddy. I am normally not a fan of the female dog I have only ever had 1 and that was when I was smaller. Anyways she is fixed so no worry about puppies coming about. A good friend of mine couldnt keep her her hubby was ready to send her to a shelter and I couldnt see that happening so I BEGGED David to see if we could take her in and after a little gentle pursuasion he agreed. The kids and I were so happy, they asked David are you excited? He said NO! They felt bad but didnt care. But she grew on him instantly he woudlnt admit that lol...

She is my silly little lap dog she loves to just crawl up here aside Ned.  Ned loves her he has a buddy to play with She does need more potty training but she is doing good!! Since Friskys passing in July of 2008 I felt a little empty place in me. I feel that void is filled up a little. I love this dog she is a doll baby. She loves the bath and loves putting Ned in his place she is half his size too her only being 5 pounds and Ned 20 pounds lol

after we got up this morning they both took over the bed

Wakky Wednesday January 13, 2010

I didnt get to do a whole lot today tatting wise I just wasnt into it until this evening.
Found out this morning that my Uncle had a few hours to a day left to live he was slowly slipping away. This weighed on me heavily I dont know why a few hours later he was at peace. Its sad he was 72. I havent seen him much since I was married its been awhile.
I really didnt feel like tatting so I cleaned and did some other things around here. this morning I dyed the remaining skein of thread and it turned out the wrong color :( Grrrrr! So I have to order some different color dyes to re do it :( It was a stupid stupid mistake this was before hearing the news on my uncle. I made a pretty new color way as well that will be shown possibly by the end of this week I really want to tat some samples with the 2 new color ways...

And a little something I also started on today with wait what are those FROG SHUTTLES yep you all know I am a bit wakky hee hee

I feel better now a hot bubble bath some coffee and hugs made me feel better

Well my Tatting Tea Tuesday wasnt REAL exciting

I did this... I had a lady request 3 colors and I made up some samples as well and decided to do a colorway as well :)

Ohhhhh ane before I forget I bought some new tea yesterday it was Lipton Green Tea Orange, Passion Fruit & Jasmine... TALK ABOUT AWESOME TASTING TEA!! It was good!!

Grrrrr! Monday

Mondays stink!! Anymore that is my attitude I used to LOVE monday because the kids would be in school and hubby at work and I would have some time to just relax in what I was doing instead of having everyone at me... I was so tired this morning that my eyes felt like they were on fire. My stupid phone line is messed up due to the weather, I hadent talked to my mom for 4 days I did call her today while I was out. That just sucks!!

My house is a wreck
I had to go for groceries today
I just ate lunch too fast now my stomach is feeling icky
I have a million and one things to do
I dont feel like doing any of it
I would rather tat
BLAH!

Isnt grocery shopping the worst
you go to the store
you load up your cart
you go to the check out unload the cart
pay and then reload the cart again
go to your vehicle
unload your cart again
go home unload the car
and then unpack everything
then put it away
you then frown at the amount of money you spent as to the amout of groceries you have
you still hear from your spouse and children "there is nothing here"
UGH!

I bought me a Strawberry Crush today I never seen it Its not too bad.

I am wandering what to make for supper? fish and pieroghies or NOTHING!!
I vote nothing! Think that would go over well here LOL

Well guess I better get busy, or maybe not. Perhaps the maid will do it, ohhh wait THATS ME!! :S

The final lady for my book is DONE!!! WOO HOO!!! I have her blocking right now. I think I am going to go take an early shower my eyes just do not want to focus right now for some reason I hate when they do that Grrrr!

A week of learning

Wednesday I taught myself the SCMR

AWESOME

Last night thanks to Janes tutorial
I learned BLOCK TATTING

AWESOME again lol

I was feared of the block tatting because I thought it was really hard Psssh, I am a dork it wasnt bad at all I am gaining more and more confidence as I ease into the shuttle again. I think its Janes little bit of picking on me which I love and her "no pressure" attitude about teaching me things and her WONDEROUS generosity.

Now maybe I can FINALLY work on Marth Ess' book Tatted animals on the block that I bought from he when she first released it... LOL

TIAS Day 2

Jane put this up not long ago and I did it it was done before 6am LOL

I still have no clue what it could be

SCMR again & #1 of 25 motif challenge

I had to do another snowflake because it was easy, because I love the SCMR, because I wanted to see it with beads, because I wanted to see it with different thread but most of all JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TOO lol

I guess I can count this as my #1 for the 25 motif challenge of 2010

Done with size 20 thread (i think) and seed beads in each picot

This morning it was dreary but around 10:30 it brightened up so I bundled up and braved the elements and I am so glad I did. If I hadent I wouldnt have seen this GEORGOUS shot!!
