I feel horrid

Both my kids are home today Nate had a temp of 100.5 but he is fine. Shannan had a sore throat and temp of 99.7 and now diarrhea but she is fine. Last night I felt lousy my body hurt so badly I thought it was just stress and Mondays antics with my dog causing me pain NOPE I couldnt get to sleep I dozed off and on while tossing and turning 'thinking' it was nearly time to get up looiked at the clock and it was only 11:55pm :( My other medicine didnt wear off yet and I didnt care I took some ibuprofen it killed a little of the pain for awhile I slept off and on. Alarm went off at 4am I hurt EVERYWHERE I have a headache that will not leave my temp was 101.6. I feel like crap I am not even in the mood to tat I slept this morning for a few hours and am so ready for more sleep. It took all I had to get up and make the kids some soup and get myself something to eat as well. My husband was coughing this morning too I hope he isnt getting sick... Hope everyone else is feeling better and dosent get this crap!!!

Stinky Dog and a Sick Child

Well I will start off with the stinky dog story... Yesterday my son put the dog out and left him loose in stead I know he did this on purpose because he was mad at the dog. Well it took me about 20 minutes to find and get the dog and when I grabbed the little poop head I nearly vomited. HE ROLLED IN SOMETHING DEAD! it stunk so bad and I had to stand there holding him until my daughters bus came OMG it was horrid. So when we got to the house I cleaned up a bit and finished supper and then had to bath the dog GAG it was bad then I showered I cant tell you how good that shower felt. ICK!!!
Now on to the sick child part. I dont know what to do at this point. Saturday he had a fever 102.9 next day it was 102.4 Monday it was 99.2 which was good but I kept him home to be safe he was good all day then last night he said he felt like he had a temp and I checked it and sure enough 101.4 This morning it was 101.0 SIGH! he isnt sick just the fever and coughing a bit not as much today as he has been. I called the doctor and they said as long as he isnt throwing up keep him here and if he worsens call again, it could be one of the many viruses going around along with many flus and the swine flu. I can imagine the doctors offices are crazy. Yesterday my kids school between elementary, middle and highschool the absent count was 150 students out.
I am beyond stress and worry about this flu crap. I havent slept alot since Saturday night for worry of my son and daughter. So far Shannan is good which is GREAT because she was always my sickly one.
I dont know if this tatting tea tuesday will hold any tatting or not I hope it will maybe once Nate lays down for a nap I can sit and tat a little bit...
ok enough complaining

Since I am only one person and decided to not make myself completely CRAZY. We thought an online shop would be the best idea for now

I have a few things up now there will be more to come.
I am also going to have a pattern avaiable soon called Hearts for Tracy I designed them and would like to ask my tatting pals to do 1 of 2 things or you can do both... Tracy is due to have a double mastectomy on Nov 11 2009 She dosent  know of these hearts and I wanted to know if some of you would like to tat 1 for her and send a little card of encouragement and then send them on to me so I can get them to her after her surgery I am hoping for a pick me up kind of thing... The next thing I want these for the Etsy shop to sell as well to raise money for her If you could tat 1 or 2 for the shop it would be GREATLY appreciated by both me and Tracys family. Tracy is my age and I dont think anyone should go through this especially that young...

10-20-2009 Tatting Tea Tuesday

I had way too much fun today well not really I had to clean and stuff but other than that the tatting part was fun!! I didnt get to tat as much as I had wanted to but hey I did actually get to tat :) I tried out a new tea and Ohhh Mi Gosh! I have a new FAVORITE tea its true blueberry TASTES LIKE BLUEBERRIES which are my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVVVVVVOOOOOOORRRRIIITE berry :) YUMMMMMMMMMMM

Arent they georgous? I used size 3 cord and my hands and wrists are a bit sore. The thread is all hand dyed by me of course LOL except the white one its just well WHITE...
I had a good TATTING TEA TUESDAY! How about you? What did you do today?
I am gonna listen to my 2 deep voiced men (josh turner and jason michael carroll) and tat some more i got the jewelry orders and want to get them done and sent by Thursday :)

10-13-2009 Tatting Tea Tuesday

Well todays tatting tea tuesday didnt hold what I had wanted it to. I planned on doing more tatting but the reason I didnt was a GOOD one. Let me explain: A gal I went to school with had inquired about some of my tatting over a week ago. I answered her with no reply until today. She wants 7 or 8 not sure which necklaces for birthdays and christmas 3 she wants this month so I spent a good part of the day emailing back and forth with her that made me happy and then I got some special dye I ordered for a custom color So I got a test batch in and then my sister showed up for awhile I had to make supper kids got home hubby got home and so on I am sitting here because I am printing books to mail so those of you who are expecting books be on the look out I am sending them tomorrow. Anywhoo I did get some tatting and it yielded a very mischevious angel. I tatted Birget Phelps

As you see the green angel must have thought she was doing the twist or something she is a silly angel but pretty :) Birgets designs are beautiful and These angels are so pretty even the dancing one ;) I had me some Cherry Berry Tea today it was GOOOOOOOOOD!

its a monday...

Yes Monday the beginning of work weeks, moms freedom from ankle biters and silly husbands being a pain in the rear. Also a time for mom to play catch up and TAT. I did tat some this morning as well as a little on the weekend but things are coming together correctly yet. Some of what I did is for exchanges I am participating in so I dont know if I will sho those yet or not.. My lap top died on Wednesday not sure what really happened to it it will not turn on I am told its the cord but a replacement cord is just about $80 FOR A STINKING CORD... So I am back to this old heap of a desktop that is just apiece of crap. I got smart though I got one of those plug in sandisk usb drives  to save things That was a SMART decision on my part :) plus is keeps some space freed up on the computer. I shall be tatting today and not alot of other things because my house is fairly tidy. I only have to cook bacon for supper and cut up tomatoes. I already got me a little project in mind for tatting tea tuesday :)

Tatting Tea Tuesday October 6, 2009

First let me add that I am horribly frustrated today. I dont know what my problem was... Maybe the fact that I knew I didnt have alot of time to tat today or the fact that I was so stinking tired this morning it wasnt funny. I had to write my kids notes to get them out early for Nates re-eval I was dozing while doing that UGH!! After a frosty and chilly walk to the bus stop with the kids it woke me up, I came in to my warm snuggly house and made another cup of coffee and ate some breakfast. Then I thought I NEED TO TAT, but what to tat?? I have a big binder full of "wanna do's" and a pile of them as well so as I looked in my pile I seen this lovely butterfly pattern by none other than Lady Shuttle Maker. Her designs are magnifique` lol Just go down to about the middle of her page and you will see FREE PATTERNS its the butterfly (of course)

on to why I am frustrated I WANTED to tat more than just this beauty. It took me 4 yes 4 attempts at this butterfly, I kept messing up it made me angry. I was also attempting a bookmark from a pattern and you guessed it I messed up 6 times and gave up by then it was getting nearer time for me to leave. So there ya have it the day is gone. BLAH... Nate has another appointment tomorrow at the same place but I need to leave here at 3 instead of 12:30 maybe JUST MAYBE I can get some more tatting in.

Tatting I been doing

I felt bad not making Nate anything so I had him pick out some wooden beads and I made him his own necklace he loves it  this I was just messing around not really with any direction and made this I think I will sell it on my etsy This I had an idea for the motif. then I wasnt sure of what to do for the necklace part and this came about of course it was a bit small so my beautiful model got it :)

And this is miss Sally Sue who is our newest baby she is a ballerina and what is a balerina without a top. well a half naked one ;)

WOW its weird I was too busy updating my facebook business page (sort of) look at the top of this page and you will see it and if you arent already be my fan LOL how I love groupies hee hee

Anyways I had a pretty good weekend I tatted quite a bit of course hubby forced me to sit he could see my leg was hurting, not that he actually DID anyting here but it was nice to relax but today I had a pile of stuff to do I still need to get the laundry going but that could possibly wait until tomorrow... Well I started the laundry LOL I had to. Anyways I have lots to blog about today but dont know where to start. Maybe a few postings would be best.

Saturday we had my mother in law over for lunch. She is in a nursing home and has dimentia. She was a bit worse this time compared to the last time she was here. The kids were a bit upset they wanted to play cards with her and she kept throwing them around and doing some silly things. Nate asked me yesterday "you know how mema usually smiles alot at us" I said yea he then said "she didnt do it this time, does that mean she dosent like us now?" OMG I didnt know what to say its not easy to deal with. I told him she loves him very much and she was just extra tired? I didnt know what to say :( it gets harder and harder on them when she comes and they see her worse than the time before.

I did end up tatting quite a bit Saturday and Sunday it was nice. I will show that in another post...

I had lost a book I had recieved from my friend Gail when I first started to tat its the Learn How Book... I lost this book over 4 years ago when we moved to the new house (just up the hill from the old one) I searched high and low for this book I mean EVERYWHERE after awhile I just thought  :( I lost it. Well for some reason today I was walking past a pile of books my kids drug out of their room and low and behold I seen it peeking out from the pile I was HAPPY!! I dont really understand why they had it I asked many times about it but mysteriously NO ONE seen it lol

I had a bit of a rough day yesterday. Its weird I can go quite awhile with being happy then all of a sudden BOOM I get on this I dont want to say depressed stage but I was feeling really down in the dumps and worthless. I always feel like this, I feel I am never good enough, I feel I dont ever do good etc...
Hubby just held me and told me how wonderful I am and how proud of me he is... PROUD? for what I asked he said "you are you" look at all you do, take care of us, especially when you are not feeling well, you are tatting, you design, you dye thread, you have written books for tatting, you are creative, and you love me despite all my goofy ways... (tear) wow I cried like a baby and felt a little better. I dont know why I do this to myself.  Yes I am overweight, I 'think' I am not the best looking and I always feel like a loser. But in reality I am sucessful, for the most part my kids are happy and healthy we are happy and healthy. Yea money is an issue but who dosent have that problem these days. I guess we all need our days of drama and self pity now and then I had mine so I am good for awhile LOL I am so greatful to friends who privately message and email me when I am in my funk, their wonderful words always make me smile and feel good...
ok on to the tatting post lol
