What a week and motif #6

First of all Monday I "thought" I was getting a sinus infection I felt horrid as heck, Tuesay went to work and I was feeling allright tired but ok until I got home and made supper I started getting sick, it hit me so fast, I spent the night in the bathroom :( I havent felt that bad in a long time Wednesday was spent in bed I wasnt even in the mood to tat. I went to work the past 3 days and am feeling better, I still feel the sinuses acting up though. Its getting really hectic at work I have gotten jobs that others didnt want to do so on top of mine I got lots to do but not enough time.


I got home today around 2 and spent some much needed time relaxing. I decided to mess with my tatting and came up with this flower I used 2 shuttles. I really didnt write it down lol

Butterfly Bookmark # 5 of 25 motif challenge

This was actually supposed to be something else but it turned into this pretty bookmark which is probably the 2nd ever bookmark I have tatted. My hdt called flower garden was used in size 20, this will be one of the next colorways I do this was a test one.
I think my shuttle tatting is looking better! I am back to work so my posting and tatting will be minimal for awhile.

finally getting around to posting it LOL talk about procrastination sheesh!! HA HA! I think this will be about all for awhile since I am back to work and its starting to pick up and got me busy.

Need to catch up, New things learned

First of all, Hubby came home on Friday night, so I been spending time with him. :) I need to catch up on blogs that will take me awhile, the only reason I am home today is that my daughter got sick on Saturday night from her allergies, darn insurance they have given me for the kids wont cover meds she needs so this happened :( while nursing my little one I taught myself the following with the shuttle:

The split ring! this was easier than I thought I really liked it

The split chain! This was hard for me to catch on to but I can now do both them!! I am so thrilled I feel I can do any pattern now!
YAY!! for me!! lol

Mail and Motifs for the Challenge

I tatted up Marilees easy victorian rectangle book mark one for each of my kids

I ordered one of Sherrys ceramic shuttles and thread I even got a little gift THANKS SHERRY!! I cant wait to use my shuttle or threads. I LOVE THEM

2 shuttle tatting I DID IT!!! and motif #2 for the 25 motif challenge

I made Teri Dusenburys Wheel of Fortune Snowflake Pattern loacated HERE just scroll down and find all her wonderful patterns.

I used my curried pink HDT which will be in my shop soon (i hope) and white

Doing the 2 shuttle tatting wasnt as hard as I thought it would be. I really enjoyed it, I just jumped in with this pattern I didnt even look up how to do it. :)

So I learned something new in tatting, I am happy about that.

Not Snow but ICE!!

Its really really nasty outside!! We got tons of Ice and I mean tons... I cant even walk outside yet its so thick and slippy... Needless to say there is no school today, the kids are making me crazy as heck!! Last night we lost power for about 4 hours or so. I was mad because I was in the middle of tatting so I had to just go to bed :( after all it was only 11:33pm lol

this first picture was from yesterday around 2 pm when we got home it was already bad by then and it got worse over night.

that is not snow its really THICK ice covering everything.

the porch it was really hard to stand on it without slipping.

Right now its raining and its cold so we got a layer of water on top of the Ice... Not good!! I wish David were home right now to take care of the Ice for me. Its gonna be rough to go and feed my other dog later I only have a barrell of table salt hopefully it will be good enough :( I HATE ice!!

Bad weather but good for me LOL

We went from cloudy skies this morning then at around 11am it opened up the ice storm and within a half hour we had nasty ice glazing everything. At 1 the kids were having an early dismissal so that meant I had to leave work which isnt really that bad, because I GET TO GO HOME AND TAT TAT TAT AWAY THE REST OF MY DAY lol So at 1 I walked out to go home and everything was really bad with ice I went to scrape my truck off and the ice was so thick I couldnt scrape it... I knew I should have left a bit earlier but I only live about 1/2 mile from work if that... I slid past my driveway and I was only going about 15mph and the bus was about a 1/2 hour late I was getting a bit worried but it finally got here with my brats all safe and sound. Its icing again I can hear it hitting the windows. My fear though is, if the power goes out for a long period of time I dont know how to start the generator, and hubby isnt here... I see the kids having atleast a delay tomorrow if it keeps this up.
Ok gonna tat then get my kiddos some supper then TAT SOME MORE!

Attempt & Success (25 motif challange motif #1 also)

Well I started back to work today, it was a long day, we will just say that...

Got home, made supper for me and the kids did the usual evening stuff and decided to sit and tat, I miss Dave terribly, I just needed a hug this evening but I will have to wait until Saturday for that :( Any hoo I did this small motif with my "the tropics" HDT its not available because I used up the smaller skeins I had wound so they are MINE ALL MINE Ha Ha!!
I think my shuttle tatting is looking better. I still am having troubles with making the chains look nice but in time that will happen.

And then I decided to attempt something "NEW" so I did, because I am so tired I cant fall asleep and I have the swollen gland from he** its big, and behind my ear, I hate when I get these because well they just plainly HURT i understand why kids pull their ears when they hurt, that is all I want to do, and I wanted something to relax me. I tried 2 shuttle tatting I thought this was going to be alot harder than it was and its not... I reallly like it... Stay tuned to see what I am making.

Ohhh and my patience motif I was speaking of well its on hold for a bit because well its making me crazy LOL

Well I better get to bed its about 20 til midnight. I got work and the kids got school...
