Clumsyness and Cold Coffee Tatting

Well first I will tell you I trip on anything LOL Saturday after my MIL left to go back to the nursing home, we got her over here for lunch, we try to do that a couple times a year usually just on the holidays, we all had a good time. After Dave left to do that I went out to check the mail and take some pictures, well me being the klutz that I am stepped wrong on a rock twisted my ankle and then fell and scraped my other leg HA HA!! Its just a normal thing I do anymore. So its been really sore and swollen, which gives me time to tat I guess ;)

Has anyone ever done this, got themselves a cup of coffee or tea and sat down to tat and get so into the tatting that you leave the coffee sit and get cold. I always do that, Dave just laughs at me and without asking takes my coffee and re-heats it. He spoils me sometimes LOL. He just laughs at my tatting addiction, and my clumsyness.

Just one of those days

I am in a mood today. I lost my furry best friend in July, I had that little guy since 1995, Everytime I had something on my mind of was just sad all I had to do was go see him and everything felt allright. I am just missing him so much today. I got lots going on right now, some financial, tomorrow I will find out if I actually have a job to go back to soon, etc... Its just got me down today really bad for some reason. I took my camera out I thought snapping pictures would help, it did for a bit. I write some poetry now and then and I wrote this :

Between the Trees

Between the trees is where you lie
Silently we walk by
Warm tears fall
Down my chilled face
As I walk by

It still didnt make me feel better. He always had such a smile on his face for me, I miss that so much, yes I have pictures but its just not the same. Any pet owner knows what I am feeling the bond that you have the unconditional love and trust. And when that bond gets broken you feel broken too.

I miss him so much, yes I still have 2 other dogs who are my best buds, 2 children, and a wonderful husband, BUT there are just some things you can't replace and that was the relationship I had with my dog Frisky.

Ok done being a whiner LOL

This necklace got my husbands seal of approval he watched me work at it all day yesterday and he just loves is he told me I am NOT allowed to sell it that it looks too good on me ROFL. You can click the photos to get the fuller view the bead thing I used is a glass green rainbow gem with silver plating on the back, the sparkle is amazing on it. I got them at Michaels. The pattern for this will be coming soon also I dont have the time today to type it all out I got another necklace in the making and more tomatoes to can and my house looks like about 30 bombs went off UGH!

Salsa while it was cooking YUM!
Hubby tried the salsa and its got his approval its pretty good and thick too this time I was taking the pic to show my brother he loves my salsa and i wanted to tempt his taste buds lol and ned decided he wanted to have some too ROFL silly dog

Ohhh my I thought the day would never ever come to and end and I am still here canning...


I had originally planned on starting about 10ish this morning canning See I got tons of tomaotes and I do mean tons. Salsa, jelly etc.. was being planned but as usual hubby wanted me to help him with his chores. :( I can never say no I hate that about myself I am kind of a door mat that way I guess. So I ended up not starting until about 1 and it took me until 2 to get all the veggies cut up for 1 batch of salsa I bought that vidalia chopper thing its so darn awesome LOL It saved me alot of time Any whoo My salsa is awesome I did it differently than before, and all that work and the sad thing of it all was I only got 3 qt. jars out of it :( so I made another batch and it was canned and Now am on to the stewed tomatoes which are now cooking while i rest my tired legs for a bit. No tatting has been done today and that saddens me LOL I also got alot of peppers too So tomorrow will be another canning day

Wooo Hooo~ I love ETSY lol

I got my goodies from ETSY today and I am so HAPPY!!! I paid $25 for 38 skeins of threads which equals out to about .66 per skein YEA!!

Buggie Crash!!!

LOL Well I decided I just wasnt happy with the way it was going and it got upset and had an accident the whole top piece I was working on flew off who knows where and the rest well here is what happened after I insulted it...

CHALLENGE

I got a challenge bestowed upon me a girl whom I went to school with has a son who has CHD congenitive heart defect and she wants me to make a charm bracelet... This should be interesting and fun!!

Shopping today & Dissapointments

First off I am dissappointed at Michaels they no longer carry tatting needles or shuttles the only thing that the Michaels in my area has is some tatting thread in the small skein things :( So we went to eat at CiCi's Pizza and JoAnn fabrics was in the same area so we decided to take a peek in there the only thing they carry are shuttles :( I dont like that not at all So when I need new needles I will have to order online Ohhhh Well I guess that is how it goes.

Now on to what I got today. My hubby spoiled me and supports my habit :) I tell him atleast its not drugs Ha Ha

Feathers when I seen these I immediately thought of designing a bird with an awesome feather tail LOL

these trees I found yesterday at WalMart I thought I could tat some mini ornaments for them they were only $1 each they are about 6-8" tall I am too lazy to go and grab a ruler to measure exactly
